The History Major Pays Posted on November 14th, 2015 by

See this recent and excellent myth-busting article in Forbes by Wilson Peden of the Association of American Colleges & Universities which demolishes, once again, the persistent myth that humanities majors are unemployable or, at best, destined to mediocre earnings. The opposite is true, though one might not know it from all the ill-informed and sometimes downright dishonest commentary about the irrelevance of the humanities.

And this is not even to consider what the humanities pay in terms of lives enriched in ways not measured by dollars.

The upshot? Major in History or another of the Humanities with confidence in their outcomes beyond the Hill.  And spread the word!
