Gustavus Adolphus College is delighted to welcome Professor Maddalena Marinari to the Department of History.
Dr. Marinari joined the history department at Gustavus Adolphus College in the fall semester of 2015. She received her Ph.D. in twentieth-century American history and modern Europe from the University of Kansas.
Before arriving to Gustavus, she taught at American University and St. Bonaventure University. She has published extensively on immigration policy and immigration to the United States and has conducted research both in the U.S. and in Italy.
She teaches a broad range of courses on twentieth-century American history, immigration history, American identity, U.S. in the world, and world history.
